Visit of H.E. Argentine Ambassador Holger Martinsen to the Suez Canal Museum

Following his meeting today with H.E. Admiral Osama Rabie, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, which focused on exploring avenues for strengthening mutual cooperation and reflecting the depth of relations between Egypt and Argentina—especially in light of the strategic importance of the Suez Canal as a global maritime passage linking continents—H.E. Ambassador Holger Martinsen, the Argentine Ambassador to Cairo, made a visit to the Suez Canal Museum, one of the most prominent cultural and tourist landmarks in the Canal region.

The Argentine guest expressed his deep admiration for the museum’s rare collections, which document the various stages of the Canal’s construction and development through the ages. He affirmed that the museum represents a qualitative addition that enhances the historical and civilizational significance of the Suez Canal, particularly due to the use of modern display methods that allow visitors to interact effectively with the cultural and historical content.

The ambassador concluded his visit by commending the efforts made to preserve the heritage of the Canal and the guided tours provided to museum visitors. He emphasized the importance of continued cultural and economic cooperation between Egypt and Argentina,
